Track Name: Selling Water
Lacing up my boots of leather
I walk the wide heather lane.
Though I'm tired, I have one direction
like an old weather vane,
holding still in pouring rain.

I've had dreams of my unborn daughter
selling water on the shore,
taking after her long-dead father,
who wrote this song at twenty-four
and never gave it anymore.

The truth is hard to say
when words get in the way.
The mind don't understand.

Waking up to what got me sleeping
I'm just keeping on and on.
I curse the hand that sowed what I'm reaping,
the very hand that wrote this song
and hung it up before too long.

The truth is hard to say,
I'll sing it anyway.
The heart can understand.
