Track Name: Tarrow's End
Young Thomas Tarrow ain't young no more
He's died on the railroad and gone to the Lord
Just twenty-one years and a brakeman four
He was taken too early to tell

At White River Junction, in the Green Mountain state
He left his poor mother in '78
He soon joined the railboys; it was ever his fate
To die in but four years' time

Proud, young Tom Tarrow, he traveled the line
With a hipflask of whiskey and a bottle of wine
A young man and true ain't afraid of dying
When the women are fine and fair

High afternoon near Brattle hill
The freight making eighty and pushing it still
Wild Tom Tarrow was soon to be killed
Thrown from a railroad car

The Tarrow boy and his trusted friend
Leaned out to see 'round the valley bend
The train met the turn with Tarrow's end
Pushed by the hand of Fate
